15 businesses receive a total of N75 Million from Google’s Hustle Academy

Google announced that it is awarding a total sum of N75 million to 15 small and medium-sized business owners from the Hustle Academy. The businesses will also get mentorship and regular support from Google.

Launched in 2022, Google’s Hustle Academy offers small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access to business and management education, mentorship, and networking. Vodacom launches two digital health solutions to improve healthcare for South Africans

Vodacom, in collaboration with the Free State Department of Health, has introduced digital health solutions to enhance medical care in public hospitals across the province. According to a statement from Vodacom, the solutions include the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system and the assisted reality medico-legal surveillance system (ARMSS).

The CAD system monitors ambulance requests from the moment a call is received until the patient reaches their destination. It incorporates a patient report form, ensuring electronic records of procedures conducted en-route to a medical facility.

The ARMSS, facilitated through RealWear wearable devices, offers frontline medical workers hands-free, voice-enabled collaboration for audio and visual recordings of medical procedures. Apply for a share of up to £2 million for feasibility studies to develop renewable replacements for fossil fuel generators in Nigeria

Organisations can apply for a share of up to £2 million for feasibility studies to develop renewable replacements for fossil fuel generators in Nigeria or the Philippines.

The ZE-Gen technology accelerator programme aims to accelerate the innovations needed to effectively replace fossil fuel generators with renewable alternatives.

Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, will work with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) to invest up to £2 million in innovation projects in Nigeria and the Philippines.

This competition is a technology accelerator which is a part of the Zero Emission Generators (ZE-Gen) programme.
