Shuttlers Integrates With Google Maps

Nigerian mobility startup Shuttlers has been integrated into Google Maps, making its shared bus routes easier for commuters to discover while planning journeys across Nigerian cities.

The integration allows users to view Shuttlers transport options directly within Google Maps, reducing the friction of finding reliable and affordable commuting alternatives.

The move represents a major visibility boost for Shuttlers, which has spent the last decade building structured shared mobility services in Nigeria. By appearing within one of the world's most widely used navigation platforms, the company can reach commuters at the exact moment they are deciding how to travel, potentially increasing adoption of shared transport options.

Lagride Expands Drive-to-Own Programme

Lagos mobility platform Lagride has handed over vehicles to 10 additional drivers under its Drive-to-Own programme, marking the second phase of an initiative designed to help ride-hailing drivers transition from earning daily income to owning productive assets. The latest batch follows an earlier handover of 20 vehicles this year.

The programme addresses a common challenge in Nigeria’s mobility sector, where many drivers spend years generating income for vehicle owners or fleet operators without building ownership of their own. Through Lagride’s model, drivers undergo a 90-day training programme covering customer service, vehicle maintenance, safety, financial responsibility, and platform operations before receiving vehicles under the ownership pathway.
