Kredete Secures $22M Series A to Transform Remittances and Credit Access for African Immigrants

Kredete, a fintech platform founded by Adeola Adedewe, has raised $22 million in Series A funding led by AfricInvest, with participation from Partech and Polymorphic Capital, bringing its total funding to $24.75 million. The company, which links low-cost remittances with credit-building tools, helps African immigrants send money home cheaply via stablecoins while turning those payments into verifiable credit history in North America and Europe. Since 2024, Kredete has grown to over 700,000 monthly users, facilitated $500 million in remittances, and boosted user credit scores by up to 58 points. The new funding will fuel expansion into Canada, the UK, and Europe, while scaling across 40+ African markets. Upcoming products include Africa’s first stablecoin-backed credit card, rent reporting, credit-linked savings, and an API for cross-border payments.
