Microsoft Seizes 338 Domains in Nigerian-led Phishing Bust

Microsoft has dismantled the Nigerian-led RaccoonO365 phishing network, seizing 338 malicious domains used to steal Microsoft 365 credentials through fake login pages. The takedown, led by Microsoft’s Digital Crimes Unit, marks one of its largest anti-phishing operations to date, disrupting attacks that targeted both individuals and businesses globally.

DSS Drags Sowore, Meta, and X to Court Over Anti-Tinubu Post

Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS) has filed a five-count lawsuit against activist Omoyele Sowore, Meta, and X Corp over social media posts in which Sowore called President Bola Tinubu a “criminal.” The DSS accuses Sowore of spreading false information, defamation, and incitement, while also alleging that Meta and X failed to remove the content.
