StarTimes increase subscription fees ahead of AFCON Côte d'Ivoire ‘23

StarTimes has announced a 15% in its subscription fees in Nigeria ahead of the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Côte d'Ivoire ‘23 which begins on the 13th of January 2024.

Apparently StarTimes is the only cable network that will be authorised to broadcast the football event. You will not be able to watch the tournament live on DStv because MultiChoice, which operates DStv and Gotv, lost its broadcasting rights to a Togolese audio-visual group, New World TV. And New World TV is sub-licensing its broadcasting rights to free-to-air stations and payTV platforms.

These new prices will take effect from 10th of January.
